Overview
Fullride Athletics ("we," "us," or "our") operates fullrideathletics.com (the "Site"), an education and resource platform that helps high school student-athletes and their families run the college recruiting process themselves. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. The Site is operated by Fullride Athletics, LLC, based in Colorado.
The short version: we collect the information you send us through our forms, we use it to answer you and run the directory, and we do not sell it. Our free tools store your data directly in your own browser, so that information never reaches our servers.
Needs review before launch
This document is a working draft prepared without legal counsel. Have a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction review it before launch, with particular attention to the children's privacy, state privacy rights, and data-retention sections.
Information We Collect
Information you give us through the contact form
When you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, the topic you select, and the contents of your message. We use this to read and reply to what you sent.
Information from directory (Get Listed) applications
If you apply to list a service in our directory, we collect your business name, contact name, email address, and the details you provide about your business (an optional phone number and website, the service category, the listing tier you are interested in, and any message). We use this to review your application and follow up with you.
Newsletter subscription
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address so we can send it. Our newsletter is managed by beehiiv, and your email is stored and processed on beehiiv's platform under beehiiv's own privacy policy. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter email.
Data our free tools store in your browser
Our free tools (the Recruiting Checklist, Outreach Builder, and Contact Tracker) run entirely in your browser. Anything you enter into them, including notes, draft messages, and the coach or program contact details you save in the Contact Tracker, is stored locally on your device using your browser's localStorage. This data is not transmitted to us, and we cannot see it. Because it lives on your device, clearing your browser data, or using a different device or browser, will remove or change what you see.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically logs basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device information, and the pages you request. This is standard server log data used to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Site.
Analytics
We use analytics to understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it. We use Vercel Analytics, which measures page views and performance without using cookies. We also use Google Analytics, which uses cookies to measure how you use the Site across your visit; Google Analytics processes this data on Google's infrastructure under Google's own privacy policy.
Needs review before launch
Google Analytics sets cookies, which in some jurisdictions (for example the EU and UK) requires a cookie-consent banner and an opt-out before analytics load. Whether you need a consent mechanism, plus settings like IP anonymization and Google Consent Mode, is a compliance decision for counsel. This draft discloses Google Analytics but the Site does not yet implement a consent banner.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your questions, feedback, and messages.
- Review directory applications and communicate with prospective and listed providers.
- Send our newsletter to people who subscribe.
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site.
- Detect and prevent spam, abuse, and fraud (our forms use a hidden honeypot field to catch bots).
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
Your Data Stays in Your Browser
We want to be clear about the free tools because they work differently from most sites. The Checklist, Outreach Builder, and Contact Tracker do not require an account and do not send your entries to us. Everything you enter is saved locally in your browser.
This means you are in control of that data. If you use a shared or public computer, remember that your entries may remain in that browser for the next person unless you clear them. You can remove everything the tools have stored by clearing your browser's site data for this Site.
Data Retention
We keep contact and directory-application messages for up to 24 months after we have handled your request, then delete them, unless we need to keep them longer to comply with the law or resolve a dispute. Newsletter subscriber data is kept until you unsubscribe. Data stored by the tools in your browser remains on your device until you clear it; we hold no copy.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, such as the right to access, correct, or delete it, or to opt out of certain processing. Residents of other states may have similar rights under their own laws.
Colorado residents (Colorado Privacy Act)
If you are a Colorado resident, the Colorado Privacy Act (CPA) gives you the right to:
- Access: confirm whether we are processing your personal data and get a copy of it.
- Correct: fix inaccuracies in the personal data we hold about you.
- Delete: ask us to delete personal data we have about you.
- Data portability: obtain your personal data in a portable, usable format where feasible.
- Opt out: direct us not to process your personal data for targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. We do not sell your personal data or use it for targeted advertising or such profiling.
Sensitive data: We do not intentionally collect or process 'sensitive data' as the CPA defines it, such as data that reveals racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, a mental or physical health condition or diagnosis, sex life or sexual orientation, or citizenship or immigration status, along with genetic or biometric data and the personal data of a known child under 13. If we ever need to process sensitive data, we will first obtain your consent, or a parent's or guardian's consent for a known child under 13, as the CPA and COPPA require.
To exercise these rights, email us at info@fullrideathletics.com. We will respond within 45 days, and may extend that by an additional 45 days when reasonably necessary, in which case we will tell you why. We may need to verify your identity before acting, and an authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with proof of authorization.
If we decline your request, we will explain why, and you may appeal that decision by replying to our response or emailing us with the word 'Appeal' in the subject line. We will respond to your appeal within 45 days, though we may extend that by up to 60 additional days where reasonably necessary and will tell you if we do. If we deny your appeal, we will give you a way to contact the Colorado Attorney General to submit a complaint.
To exercise rights outside Colorado, email us at info@fullrideathletics.com. We will respond as required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Needs review before launch
Have counsel confirm which state privacy laws apply and tailor this section. CPA timelines are drafted per statute: 45 days for an initial request (one 45-day extension) and 45 days for an appeal (up to a 60-day extension where reasonably necessary). Verify current deadlines, the universal opt-out / Global Privacy Control duty, the sensitive-data consent duty, authorized-agent handling, and the required Attorney General complaint mechanism before launch. Confirm whether the Site meets CPA applicability thresholds at all.
Children's Privacy (Individuals Under 13)
Our Services are directed to a general audience of high school student-athletes, parents, and athletic recruiters. We do not knowingly collect, solicit, or maintain personal information from individuals under the age of 13.
No one under the age of 13 may create an account or provide any personal data, athletic statistics, videos, or contact information to the platform. If you are under 13, please do not attempt to register for our Services or send any personal information about yourself to us.
If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will deactivate the account and delete that information from our databases as quickly as possible. If you are a parent or legal guardian and believe that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact our privacy compliance team immediately at info@fullrideathletics.com.
How we verify parental consent
Because the Site is meant for teens and adults and does not require an account, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 and do not currently run a parental-consent process. If we ever add a feature that would knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13, we will first obtain verifiable parental consent using a method reasonably designed to confirm the person giving consent is the child's parent or legal guardian, such as a signed consent form returned to us, a verified email confirmation paired with a follow-up confirmation step, or another method allowed under COPPA. We will collect only what that feature needs, and we will not condition a child's participation on providing more information than is reasonably necessary.
Parental rights: If you are a parent or legal guardian, you may ask us to review the personal information we have collected from your child, refuse to allow us to collect or use more of it, and have it deleted. Email us at info@fullrideathletics.com, and we will verify that you are the child's parent or guardian before we act, then respond promptly.
Needs review before launch
COPPA and minors' privacy is high-risk and needs legal review. The Site currently has no user accounts, so the 'create an account' language in this section is forward-looking; align it with what actually launches. Confirm the specific verifiable-parental-consent method with counsel before enabling any feature that collects data from under-13 users. Many recruiting-adjacent users are 13 to 17, whose data can carry obligations beyond COPPA. Contact inbox confirmed as info@fullrideathletics.com.
Security
We take reasonable measures designed to protect the information we handle, matched to the small amount of data we collect. These include:
- Encryption in transit: the Site is served over HTTPS, so information you submit is encrypted as it travels to us.
- Data minimization: our free tools keep your entries in your own browser, so most of what you do on the Site never reaches our servers, and we ask forms for only what we need.
- Limited access: we restrict who can view form submissions to the people who need them to respond to you.
- Short retention: we delete contact and directory-application messages on the schedule described above rather than keeping them indefinitely.
- Reputable processors: we rely on established service providers (such as Vercel, Resend, beehiiv, and Google) that maintain their own security programs.
- Spam and abuse controls: our forms use a hidden honeypot field and related checks to reduce automated abuse.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we ever experience a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you and any authorities as required by applicable law.
Needs review before launch
This section should describe measures you actually have in place; confirm each bullet is accurate at launch and adjust as the stack changes. Colorado's breach-notification law (C.R.S. 6-1-716) and its reasonable-security duty (C.R.S. 6-1-713.5) apply; have counsel confirm your breach-response timeline and any contractual security terms with processors.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the 'Last updated' date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be noted more prominently where appropriate.
